Editors Letter Welcome to the premiere issue of Cigar Compaņero. This online magazine is dedicated to the cigar smoker and to the industry that is behind every cigar worldwide! Our goal is to educate and inform you with every aspect there is to the cigar industry. Although we call it an "industry," it resembles a craft more than an industry. From each and every beautiful hand made cigar made to each and every unique accessory that accompanies a cigar, this magazine will fill you with insight that can turn a novice cigar smoker into an expert, and the expert smoker into an aficionado. What goes into a great smoke you may ask? Is there more to it than just the tobacco, the binder, the wrapper? How about the shop you purchased the cigar from? Or the cutter you used? Is there a difference in the way you light your stick? How about what you use to light it? How do you store your smokes? Where are they kept? Where do you smoke? What food and drink do you consume before, during, or after your smoke? These questions are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the superb cigar smoking experience. This site is dedicated to the enjoyment of cigar smoking - that gratification attained by each and every puff of each and every cigar. It is our intention to supply you every facet of cigar smoking. Obviously, we are not alone. We pledge to be on the cutting edge of the cigar industry through interviews with leading manufacturers, reviews of the latest cigars and accessories, and home-spun articles that catch the spirit of the cigar smoker! We will provide honest, straightforward, and unbiased information. We will provide presentations and opinions that you'll find very insightful.
